"Love Never Dies" is a book written by Mona Eskandari about the life memories of martyr Haj Mirza Solgi, narrated by his wife, Parvin Solgi.

Mona Eskandari's childhood coincided with the Islamic revolution and the imposed war. As a result, she attributes her interest in writing in the war genre to her family background and childhood incidents.

"Aside from the fact that I was born during the war, my family was also heavily involved in defending their homeland and did their best," she outlined.

She stated that we bravely defended our homeland for eight years, so it’s a necessity to talk and write about those people who made many sacrifices during that period.

Eskandari then explained how she was inspired to write the book, stating that she met Mrs. Solgi at the funeral of her uncle, Ali Khoshlafz, and she told her one of the beautiful memories that really impressed this author and inspired her to write this book.

Mona Eskandari said, "Despite all the difficulties, from the beginning, I talked, laughed, and cried with Mrs. Solgi a lot, and it was as if I had become a part of her memories."

She added that Mrs. Solgi's memories were like a complex puzzle, so she had to conduct extensive research in addition to interviews with her and her friends.

She went on to discuss her unexpected disease, saying, "At the same time I started writing this book, I got cancer! And because the disease was progressing, I needed to begin treatment right away. My energy level had dropped significantly, but I needed to finish the book. So I restarted after the chemotherapy was finished, but the side effects of the treatment had affected my memory, and I had forgotten many of the details."

According to her, they had to do the interviews again, and they also met more people who told them new things about the topic.

Eventually, she and her team finished the book, but in the midst of it, Haj Mirza was martyred, necessitating the addition of a new chapter to the book with the heading of Haj Mirza's Martyrdom.

The author of the book noted that reading this book can be very helpful to the routine life of today’s generation, and they will be fascinated by this couple and their love.

Mona Eskandari mentioned in another section of her speech that her father, who first sparked her interest in writing as a child by telling her lovely stories, is partly responsible for her taste in literature and her creativity as a writer.

She also expressed concern about writing and claimed that while it is not regarded as a job in our country and does not generate much income, writers need spiritual support more than anything else! Maintaining this course requires support, particularly in the area of oral history.

The book “Love Never Dies” was published by Soore Mehr, in 17 chapters and 300pages, in 2021.
